Outreach

Through various outreach opportunities and ministries, our hope is to meet the practical needs of those in our cities and beyond to share the love of Jesus in and outside of the church.

Weekly Outreach Ministries

Our Outreach Ministries are led by those who've walked through brokenness and desire to help others through their struggles. Outreach Ministries meet weekly to walk through a designated curriculum and provide time to reflect and share together. People inside and outside of the church are welcomed to find community and healing through our Outreach Ministries.

GriefShare is a special weekly seminar and support group that is offered to help rebuild areas of your life after losing a loved one. Through encouragement, community and weekly information-packed videos, those who have gone through this seminar have experienced healing and hope for the future. 423 Men is a community for men who are struggling with sexual addiction or sin. This group meets weekly to provide mutual support, accountability, and a safe and confidential space for honesty and confession. Group leaders have experience in combatting sexual sin, and they desire to instill hope into those lives who are currently struggling. Sexual sin can be overcome, but it can’t be done alone. Serving Law Enforcement

We are grateful for the men and women in law enforcement who serve our community each day, and we desire to be a church who serves them in return. We are looking for people who will bring snacks and treats to the Ekklesia office that will then be delivered to the Police Station for the officers to enjoy during shifts. If you want to join this outreach by bringing treats like cookies, muffins or granola bars, please visit this page.

Outreach Opportunities

Our outreach opportunities include yearly efforts to serve and provide for the hurting in our cities and beyond. Whether it's providing school supplies and cleaning up our local school campuses, packing and delivering Thanksgiving meal boxes, or supporting pastors in Burkina Faso, we'd love to have you join us in our mission of spreading the hope of Jesus in our cities and beyond.

Burkina Faso

Ekklesia—in partnership with The Fellowship at Bend—financially, practically, and spiritually supports Philadelphia, a church in Burkina Faso, West Africa. Our hope is to spread the news and love of Jesus, not just in Eugene + Springfield, but also worldwide.

Box of Love

Box of Love serves to bless families in our local community by providing a Thanksgiving meal. As one of our largest outreaches of the year, Box of Love is an opportunity to serve our neighbors and form relationships with one another. During Box of Love, we purchase, pack and deliver Thanksgiving meals for families in need within our community.

Agape Youth

Ekklesia partners with Agape Families, a local nonprofit that provides camp and mentorship opportunities for kids impacted by incarceration in Eugene and Salem. The Agape Youth Camp is a three-night weekend camp that provides the opportunity to come alongside kids who are broken and hurting and share the hope and healing of the gospel. Camp is a super fun, jam packed weekend with an incredible impact and requires the help of many volunteer cabin leaders.

Every Child

Every Child gathers families in partnership with Oregon’s Department of Human Services (DHS) to aide vulnerable children and families. Last year, 1,530 children spent time in foster care in Lane County. 70% spent time in more than one foster home. Many were split from their siblings. Everyone has something to bring to foster care — be it donating, volunteering, or fostering. By doing so, we’re able to bring love, care, and support to vulnerable children and families who previously had nowhere to turn.

Eugene Mission: Life Change Program

Ekklesia partners with Eugene Mission’s The Life Change program, which is a 12-18 month residential relapse prevention program for those who demonstrate a serious desire to heal and grow emotionally, spiritually, socially, physically and mentally. The goal is that upon graduation, program members will be able to reenter society with employment or sustainable income and housing. We come alongside of the Life Change program by hosting Bible studies, cooking meals, and participating in opportunities to serve. Please fill out this form if you are interested in volunteering with this ministry.
