Get Involved

Why

Jesus came to earth as one who served. In turn, we are called to serve one another.
(Matthew 20:28; 1 Peter 4:11)

Serving is not only a way to get to know people and help the church, it is a form of worship. We gather to live out the Gospel, worship together and serve each other. Each ministry plays a part in this practical preaching of the Gospel at Ekklesia. We’re all flawed people living redeemed lives of repentance and service. We aren’t looking for perfect people; we’re looking for people who love Jesus and want to be a part of the team.

Teams

Our Sunday volunteers are on an A-B schedule. Group A serves the first and third Sundays of the month, group B serves the second and fourth. In months with five Sundays, there is a rotation between the two groups for coverage of the last Sunday.
Our Wednesday volunteers are on a A-B schedule as well. Group A serves the first and third Wednesdays of the month, group B serves the second and fourth. In months with five Wednesdays, there is a rotation between the two groups for coverage of the last Wednesday.
Additionally, each volunteer commits to a church gathering time.
This gives every volunteer a reliable schedule and community with others on their ministry team.

If you would like to serve in more than one ministry, please make note of that below.
An example [Group A in the Nursery and Group B on Greeting].
Anyone unable to serve in the A-B schedule will be placed on an alternate list to be called on for coverage when his or her ministry is in need.
